MAKEUP STYLES TO REFLECT DIFFERENT ERA

SOME VINTAGE RETRO LOOKS 

1920's 

1. simple and to the point,

2.  eyeliner on top and bottom not too thick 

3. black liner 

4. shadows were turquoise greens and dark greys

5. mascara not too thick

1930's:

1.  deep set eyes made impact the darker and deeper the better

2. use dark eyeshadow on crease of upper lid then top with a bright green blue or violet

3. finish with false lashes and medium eyeline

1950 & 60'S: 

1.  THE WINGED LOOK

2.  liquid liner applied thickly then add a wing. takes practice

3. blue grey or turquoise shadow was popular then

1970'S: 

1.  lighter and nude natural finishes

2. light pastel colors

3. blue pale blue

1980's:

1.  blues

2. this is when coloured eyeliners were introduced
